PM Modi Promises Tap Water for Every Household in Delhi, Criticizes BJD in Odisha Rally

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public meeting held in Kendrapara, Odisha, made a strong pitch for his government’s commitment to providing tap water to every household in Delhi. He contrasted this with the situation in Odisha, where he claimed not every household has access to tap water.

“Modi is trying to provide tap water to every house in Delhi,” the Prime Minister said, referring to himself in the third person. He then drew attention to the disparity in Odisha, stating, “Here not everyone has got tap water.”

The Prime Minister’s comments come at a time when water scarcity and quality are major issues in many parts of the country. His promise of ensuring tap water for every household in Delhi is seen as a significant commitment towards addressing these challenges.

In his speech, PM Modi also took a swipe at the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha. He said, “Odisha is voting to change this situation. Odisha is also voting to end the loot of BJD.”

The Prime Minister’s criticism of the BJD suggests a heated political battle in the state. His comments are likely to intensify the ongoing political discourse in Odisha, where the BJP has been trying to make inroads.

The rally in Kendrapara is part of the Prime Minister’s campaign trail as he seeks to bolster support for the BJP in the state. His focus on basic amenities like water supply highlights the central government’s push for development and infrastructure in the country.

As the political temperature rises in Odisha, it remains to be seen how the BJD responds to PM Modi’s remarks and what impact they will have on the voters.
