BRICS Bharat Innovates Exposition Underway at Bharat Mandapam; 37 Indian Deep-Tech Innovators Participate

Date:

To showcase India’s deep-tech capabilities and indigenous innovations on the global stage, the ‘BRICS Bharat Innovates Exposition’ is being organised at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 11-12. The exposition is being organised by the Ministry of Education in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and is being held alongside the 18th BRICS Summit, which India is hosting on September 12-13.

Thirty-seven Indian deep-tech startups and ventures are showcasing their cutting-edge technologies at the Exposition. They are part of a group of 120 startups that participated in the inaugural ‘Bharat Innovates 2026’ held in Nice, France, in June 2026. The event aligns with the theme of India’s BRICS presidency: Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability

Held alongside the BRICS Business Forum, this BBI Exposition offers Indian startups the opportunity to connect directly with CEOs, investors, industry leaders, and business representatives from BRICS nations. It focuses on B2B collaboration, investment, technological partnerships, and opening pathways to international markets for Indian innovations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, and senior leaders from BRICS nations are expected to visit the BBI Exposition. This is likely to provide Indian deep-tech companies with access to global business and policy networks.

Earlier, more than 2,000 participants from 29 countries took part in ‘Bharat Innovates 2026’, held in Nice. This event, featuring 120 deep-tech startups, saw over 1,350 B2B meetings, more than 30 collaboration agreements, and funding commitments totaling $254.5 million for Indian startups.

The BRICS Bharat Innovates Exposition is a significant step towards strengthening the research, innovation, and startup ecosystem under the Ministry of Education’s BRICS initiative. Its objective is to take Indian technological innovations beyond the exhibition stage and transform them into investments, global partnerships, and business opportunities.
