‘Jung sJabs’ Programme Held at Samad Rokchan to Boost Welfare Outreach in Nyoma

Date:

Nyoma (Ladakh): The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh organised a “Jung sJabs” outreach programme at Samad Rokchan village under Nyoma subdivision, aiming to strengthen public engagement and ensure effective delivery of government welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

The programme was conducted as part of the “Administration at Doorstep” initiative, which focuses on bringing essential government services directly to remote and far-flung areas of Ladakh. Officials from various departments participated in the camp, interacting with local residents and spreading awareness about different welfare schemes and services.

During the outreach programme, villagers were provided on-the-spot assistance related to documentation, welfare benefits, and other government services. The initiative also created a platform for residents to raise grievances and concerns, which were taken up by officials for timely redressal.

Located in the Nyoma subdivision of Leh district, Samad Rokchan is a remote village where access to government offices can be challenging, making such outreach programmes crucial for inclusive governance and service delivery.

Officials emphasized that the “Jung sJabs” initiative plays a key role in bridging the gap between the administration and the public, particularly in border and high-altitude regions. The programme also helps improve awareness, transparency, and accessibility of government schemes among rural populations.

The Samad Rokchan outreach is part of a broader series of such initiatives being conducted across Ladakh to ensure that development benefits reach every household, especially in geographically isolated areas.
