Kargil Police Launches Orientation Camp for SI/Constable Aspirants, 500+ Register on Day One

An orientation camp for Sub-Inspector and Constable aspirants has commenced in Kargil, with an overwhelming response as over 500 candidates registered on the first day.

Initiative Under Ladakh Police Leadership

The camp has been organized by District Police Kargil on the directions of Mukesh Singh, aimed at preparing candidates for upcoming recruitment in Ladakh Police.

The programme is being held at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium.

Training on Recruitment Process and PET

Aspirants were briefed about:

  • Recruitment stages
  • Eligibility and selection process

They also received hands-on training for the Physical Endurance Test (PET), which includes:

  • Long run
  • Long jump
  • Push-ups (for male candidates)
  • Shot put (for female candidates)

Written Exam Preparation to Follow

Officials informed that:

  • PET training will be followed by orientation sessions for the written examination
  • Separate sessions will be organised for SI and Constable aspirants

SSP Nitin Yadav Motivates Candidates

Nitin Yadav encouraged aspirants to:

  • Train diligently
  • Stay focused and disciplined

He assured that Ladakh Police is committed to ensuring candidates are well-prepared for both physical and written tests.

Expansion to Zanskar

The SSP also announced that similar orientation camps will soon be organised in Zanskar to reach more aspirants.

Additional SP Briefs Participants

Kacho Ishtyaq Khan welcomed participants and explained the PET framework, extending best wishes on behalf of the police department.

Support from Sports Department

The camp is being supported by Physical Education Teachers from the Youth Services and Sports Department, who are assisting in training aspirants.

The initiative reflects a proactive approach by Ladakh Police to:

  • Enhance candidate preparedness
  • Ensure fair and transparent recruitment
  • Provide equal opportunities to aspirants across the region
