PM Modi Slams TMC in Durgapur, Accuses Party of Betraying Bengal’s Youth and Education System

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public gathering in Durgapur, strongly criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for what he termed a “betrayal of Bengal’s youth.” He accused the ruling party of systemic corruption in the education sector, leading to the loss of jobs for thousands of teachers and jeopardizing the future of students across the state.

PM Modi said, “The education system in Bengal has been crippled by TMC’s corruption and criminality. Students are suffering, courts have termed the situation as systemic fraud, and those responsible are being shielded instead of punished.”

He also expressed concern over the increasing crimes against women in the state and criticized the TMC government for a lack of accountability and justice. “The safety of women is not just a political issue — it is a matter of dignity and humanity. But in Bengal, the ruling party is silent and indifferent,” the Prime Minister remarked.

PM Modi’s address comes as part of BJP’s broader campaign strategy in the state ahead of upcoming elections, with a renewed focus on governance, youth, and women’s safety.
