Date:

In a significant move towards environmental conservation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on World Environment Day. This initiative is aimed at fostering a culture of tree plantation and nurturing a bond between individuals and the environment.

The campaign was inaugurated with the Prime Minister planting a Peepal tree at Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of several high-profile delegates, underlining the government’s commitment to this cause.

Prime Minister Modi, in his address, called upon every citizen to contribute towards making our planet healthier and greener. He emphasized that each tree planted is a step towards environmental sustainability and a testament to our responsibility towards Mother Earth.

He also highlighted India’s environmental strides over the past decade, pointing out the increase in forest cover across the nation. These collective efforts, he said, are a reflection of India’s dedication to environmental preservation and its role in global climate action.

The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is expected to galvanize these efforts, inspiring citizens to plant trees and contribute to a greener future. The initiative has been widely applauded and is anticipated to motivate millions of Indians to participate in environmental conservation activities.

As the world faces the pressing issue of climate change, initiatives like these underscore the importance of collective action and individual responsibility in safeguarding our planet for future generations.
