PM Modi Criticizes Congress, Makes Controversial Statements at Patiala Rally

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a blistering attack on the Congress party during a public rally in Patiala, Punjab, making controversial statements regarding historical events and political maneuvers.

Amidst his address, PM Modi asserted that had he been in power during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, he would have leveraged the 90,000 Pakistani soldiers in Indian captivity to reclaim the revered Sikh shrine of Kartarpur Sahib from Pakistan. “The ‘Hukum ka Ikka’ was in our hands at the time of the Bangladesh War. If Modi had been there at that time, I would have taken Kartarpur Sahib from them and then released their soldiers. Still, I got Kartarpur Sahib Corridor built,” he proclaimed.

Furthermore, PM Modi defended his government’s controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), stating that it aimed to provide citizenship to oppressed communities rather than merely garnering votes. “For the INDIA alliance, the biggest goal is to appease their vote bank. Modi is giving Indian citizenship under CAA law to Dalit and Sikh brothers and sisters suffering from partition,” he affirmed.

Accusing opposition parties of opportunism and hypocrisy, PM Modi lambasted the Congress and AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) alliance, colloquially referred to as ‘Panja’ and ‘Jhaadu’ respectively, insinuating that they were cut from the same cloth. He warned the people of Punjab against falling prey to their deceitful tactics. “Those who can betray their Guru Anna Hazare, can lie 10 times in a day. Neither can such people develop Punjab, nor can they leave anything for the future of your children,” he cautioned.

PM Modi’s remarks have ignited a firestorm of controversy, with critics condemning his historical conjectures and questioning the motives behind his political rhetoric. The Prime Minister’s statements are poised to fuel further debate and political polarization in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
