PM Modi Highlights Linguistic Efforts in 110th ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 110th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, highlighted the significant efforts being made in the field of linguistics across the country. He specifically mentioned the commendable work of Mohammad Mansha Ji from Ganderbal, Jammu-Kashmir, who has dedicated the last three decades of his life to preserving the Gojri language.

“A large number among them are working in the area of linguistics,” said PM Modi, acknowledging the numerous individuals across the nation contributing to the preservation and growth of India’s linguistic diversity.

In the northernmost state of Jammu-Kashmir, Mohammad Mansha Ji has been tirelessly working towards the preservation of the Gojri language. Gojri, also known as Gujari, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by the Gujjars of Northern-Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.

For the past 30 years, Mansha Ji has been deeply engaged in efforts to keep the Gojri language alive, ensuring it continues to be a part of India’s rich cultural and linguistic heritage.

PM Modi’s mention of these efforts in his widely listened to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is expected to bring greater attention to the importance of preserving India’s linguistic diversity. It also underscores the government’s recognition and support for individuals like Mansha Ji, who are at the forefront of such crucial cultural preservation work.

The Prime Minister’s words serve as a reminder of the rich tapestry of languages in India and the ongoing efforts to preserve this diversity. It is a call to acknowledge and appreciate the unsung heroes who, like Mansha Ji, dedicate their lives to such causes.

As India continues to progress in the 21st century, the preservation of its diverse languages remains a key cultural priority.
